The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority and the City of Fitchburg, are partnering with the Town of Westminster, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Pan Am Southern, and OMNOVA Solutions Inc. to request $65.5 million in TIGER (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) funds to construct a $72.2 million commuter rail station, layover facility, and track improvements in the Montachusett region located in North Central MA.
