G link

Welcome aboard the Link
LINK bus service runs weekdays along the Route 2-2A corridor between Greenfield and Gardner, linking Orange and Athol as well. We also run between Gardner and Winchendon.

Look for the Link Logo
To tell us apart from other buses, look for the red & blue Link logo on buses and vans along the route. The Franklin Regional Transit Authority (FRTA) provides the western part of the Link service between Greenfield and Athol, and the Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) provides the eastern part between Gardner and Orange and Gardner and Winchendon. There is overlapping and connecting service to Athol and Orange.

We’re Going Your Way
We have tried to put our bus stops in convenient places, but keep in mind that the bus will stop for you at any safe place along the route where the stops are far apart. While riding, just tell the driver where you want to get off. While waiting, simply flag down the bus by waving or call ahead to the correct authority (FRTA - 413 774-2262 or MART 800 922-5636) and we will alert the driver ahead of time to stop for you.

Rules of the Road
There are always rules in life, and we have some too. No smoking on board. No eating or drinking either; please wait until you arrive at your destination. Also, please don’t carry on any dangerous articles that burn or explode. Remember, we have the right to refuse service to anyone who appears to be intoxicated and unruly, under the influence of illegal drugs or who acts in a way that is objectionable to other passengers.

How to Connect with the Link
If you live in an outlying area or are unable to get to the regular bus stops, you may connect with the Link by using the Dial-a-Ride transportation service in the Athol-Orange and Winchendon areas provided by Community Transit Services. For more information, please call (978) 575-9966.
